High profile F1 drivers are always in the limelight. In fact, the nature of their sport and their love for speed automatically transcends them into celebrity status. Therefore the link-ups between F1 drivers and pop stars are nothing new asboth types of professionals spend a lot of time together at award functions, endorsement events and even around the pit lanes. Danni Minogue the younger sister of pop icon Kylie Minogue, is one such celebrity.
Though not as popular as her elder sister in the singing department, Danni has 10 albums under her belt along with a host of television, movie and stage appearances. She was most recently noted for her role as a judge on Britain's reality music talent-hunt show, 'X Factor'. But she features on this page solely because of her love for F1, or maybe because of her love for former F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve. The two were dating for two years before their engagement ended on a sour note in 2001.
Though her romance with the F1 driver fizzled out, her love for the sport remained intact.Danni was often seen aroundracing circuits chatting with various drivers on the sport that she clearly seems well versed with. Fortunately her love for fast men did not die with Villeneuve. This Australian makes it a point to attend the Australian Grand Prix as and when she's in town and in 2008, she was spotted exchanging numbers with Lewis Hamilton!
She described Hamilton as “mostly perfect”. Rumours were rife that Hamilton was caught in a love triangle with Danni, Miss Australia Caroline Pemberton and Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls. Well we all know what happened there – Hamilton fell for the catcall and Minogue and Pemberton were left to “wish they were as hot as Scherzinger!”

Danni Minogue is a regular at the Australian Grand Prix almost every year.
Other Australian GP sightings include Kylie Minogue, cricketer Shane Warne and the Osbournes.
Post their number-swapping, Danni and Lewis Hamilton were reportedly said to have gone on a date after the Monaco Grand Prix, after it was said that Hamilton used to text message the younger of the Minogue sisters ‘like mad’.
Minogue is also said to have a good knowledge of F1 racing, a quality that allegedly intrigued Hamilton.
