PROFILE

FerrariThe name Ferrari has featured on the Formula One grid since the inception of the championship in 1950 carrying over a plethora of history.

Enzo Ferrari, a shrewd businessman, founded the Italian outfit in 1929 and his legacy still reverberates in the engines today. Undoubtedly, the team from Maranello has been one of the most successful squads in F1 history. With many titles, both as a constructor and for its drivers, the team will continue to try to add numerous feathers in its rich crown in years to come.

From 2000 to 2004, Ferrari usurped all championships under the brilliant collaboration of Jean Todt, Ross Brawn and a certain German driver named Michael Schumacher.

But in the latter half of the decade, the Prancing Horse won just one drivers' and two constructors' titles, a performance that hardly justifies its past.

After disappointing Fernando Alonso for five seasons, underlined by the team's first winless campaign in two decades in 2014, Ferrari underwent a massive restructuring that saw not just the Spaniard depart, but named a new president, a team principal and several new faces in the technical department,

Now with Sebastian Vettel in the Scuderia stable and the 2007 champion Kimi Raikkonen as his teammate, the Scarlet team has laid the foundations in an attempt to regain its glorious status.

With a magical line-up in the bank, a lot more is now expected of the Italian team.
