The name originated from the enterprise that built the multi-purpose track in late 1951. |  The circuit hosted eight Formula One races between 1967 and 1977 of which Jackie Stewart won two. |  The Ford engines were responsible for eight of the fastest lap-times and all of the poles positions that were recorded in every year of the race at this circuit. |  Apart from Formula One, Mosport Park also hosted the 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prix, the American Le Mans series and the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. |  McLaren drivers won three consecutive races while Tyrrell and Brabham drivers won two successive races each on this circuit.
